Fortnite Battle Royale
– event summary

The first Fortnite Battle Royale tournament has concluded and the Battle Bus has left the building. Over the course of three days friends were made, rivalries were created and winners were crowned at DreamHack Winter 2017.

Participants competed against each other in solo play where they gathered points by securing kills and fighting their way to victory royales. The winners of each day, determined by their total kills and match placements, competed for cash prizes. Each day had its own prizepool, with the top players gunning for a share of the 50,000 SEK prizepool on Championship Sunday.

DreamHack attendees with a +1 could scuffle, hustle and tussle in our duo “Swag Battles.” Over the weekend we gave out innumerable amounts of “#1” hats and Battle Bus T-shirts. The Epic Games crew also glided over to the BYOC areas, handing out additional swag to those playing Fortnite.

Apart from the tournament, there were streamers at the Twitch booths interacting with their fans and streaming Fortnite Battle Royale. Partnered Twitch streamer Orb took a quick moment during his stream to pose for the camera shortly before dropping into his next Battle Royale match.

A few squads were syncing up on their loot runs and as well as their swag. The Battle Bus has room for the whole family

Lastly, here are you winners of Fortnite: Battle Royale DreamHack Winter! Thank you to everyone who participated and we’ll see you on the Battle Bus!
